What To Expect

There will be a short introduction to the process, demonstrating techniques on how to use additional materials to embellish your assemblage art. Then, you will make your own TreasureBoard Creation! Fun for ages 5 and up...great for all levels of experience and artistic abilities!

• During this event, you will make your own TreasureBoard Creation to take home with you!
• The cost for this special student event is $20.00 per student (plus tax), no matter your age! Online ticket purchase is required in advance of the scheduled date, so we can prepare enough materials. Please note that seats are limited for this event - please get your ticket early to reserve your space!

What to bring:

• A few of your collected trinkets and treasures to build your board…they can be a variety of different items, or related items to make a themed board. (See a list of ideas below.)
• If you need additional items, you can "treasure hunt" at the event! A selection of unique and inexpensive treasures (mostly under $1) will be available for purchase, and you can fill in with complimentary embellishments.
• Cash for purchasing additional treasures or accessories.​​

What we provide:

• One 6" x 6" board for each participant.
• A variety of complimentary embellishments for you to use - paper items, ribbon and yarn remnants, and an assortment of buttons, baubles and beads. There will be a many different materials to choose from...all colors and textures!
• Scissors (if you require special scissors, please bring them with you) and tools.
• All types of glue.

What can I use for my TreasureBoard Creation™?

Honestly, anything that can be glued down! ​Following is a list of ideas to get you started:

• Costume jewelry, lapel pins, old watches, charms, chains, friendship bracelets
• Broken china or pottery pieces
• Seashells, sea glass, rocks, fossils, snails, crystals
• Feathers, buckeyes, acorns, sticks, pinecones, pressed flowers or leaves
• Coins, fishing lures, bottle caps, keys, spent ammo casings
• Lace, ribbon, fabric scraps, silk flowers, leather scraps
• Hot Wheels, green army men, Legos, small toys and trinkets
• Game pieces, puzzle pieces, dice, playing cards, gambling chips, marbles, jacks
• Small figurines, bottles, collectibles, miniatures
• Armed services memorabilia, awards, patches
• Baseball cards, greeting cards, ticket stubs, bookmarks
• Photos, magazine or newspaper
• Sheet music, book pages, maps, stickers, wrapping paper or wallpaper pieces
• Rubber stamps, paper, metal or plastic cutouts/letters
• Baby utensils, jewelry, hairbows
• Holiday ornaments or decorations
